History

In 1999, through a partnership with Le Cordon Bleu, Brown College began offering a Le Cordon Bleu culinary program?the first such program to be offered in North America.

The program started as a certificate program and in 2002 became an Associate in Applied Science Degree program. In October 2003, a Pâtisserie & Baking Associate Program was added. All of the programs operated as a division of Brown College through January 2005.

Effective February 2005, the programs formerly offered at Brown College were transferred to a newly created institute, Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts - Minneapolis/St. Paul, a branch campus of Portland, Oregon´s Western Culinary Institute.

Our school´s partnership with Le Cordon Bleu represents a union of some of the finest in European and North American culinary arts training programs. We will do the following:

  • Continually evaluate and update educational programs
  • Provide modern facilities and training equipment
  • Select teachers with professional experience in the vocations they teach and the ability to motivate and develop students to their greatest potential
